The Obelis Trash Compactor is designed to fit the limited spaces on boats. With dimensions of L235 x W440 x H339 mm, it can be installed in galleys, technical compartments, or under countertops without taking up excess space. Its compact structure allows for easy installation and convenient access for loading and unloading waste. Powered by 12V DC with a maximum consumption of 4A, it integrates seamlessly with onboard electrical systems, ensuring efficiency without draining the battery.

Easy maintenance

Designed for reliability, the Obelis compactor requires minimal upkeep. Thanks to its high-quality materials and sturdy construction, maintenance is limited to an annual lubrication of the drive chain and lead screws using standard gear oil. Cleaning is just as simple— wipe with a damp sponge and mild detergents, avoiding contact with electrical components. If debris accumulates under the moving platform, the internal bin can be removed for a deeper clean.

Energy-Efficient Trash Compactor

The Obelis compactor is designed for maximum energy efficiency, minimizing its impact on onboard systems. It operates on 12V DC with a maximum consumption of 4A, making it fully compatible with marine electrical systems without straining the batteries. Its compaction system runs on short, optimized cycles, ensuring intelligent energy use. This means that even with frequent use, power consumption remains low—delivering energy savings without compromising performance.

How Does the Compaction Cycle Work?

Before starting compression, a plastic bag must always be placed inside the compactor. After compaction, to add more waste or remove the full bag, slightly lift the handle until you hear the first click (partial opening). This activates the automatic descent of the base, indicated by the Down LED lighting up. Once the descent is complete and the LED turns off, you can fully lift the handle and open the lid to continue filling or emptying the Trash Compactor.

What Types of Waste Can the Obelis Compactor Handle?

Obelis delivers the best results with non biodegradable, non rigid waste, such as plastic bottles (without caps), Tetra Pak containers, paper, cardboard, and lightweight blister packs. It can also compact moderately moist organic waste, like wilted flowers and food scraps. Additionally, it is compatible with medium-rigidity waste, including aluminum cans and rigid or semi-rigid plastic containers. However, glass, non-deformable materials, and waste containing liquids should not be placed inside the compactor.
